IN DIALOGUE WITH KAMILLA

IN DIALOGUE WITH KAMILLA

Kamilla and I met recently at my house, a friend brought her over to my apartment as we were all getting ready and dancing in my lounge. I remember it so vividly because after 5 minutes of meeting her I was shocked I hadn´t connected with her earlier. As things go in Mexico City, you meet the moment exactly as you are ready to. This was a blessing, I knew I had reached a new level of my own being because the gift of Kamila was introduced into my life! I know that our community will be just as curious about this magnetic, playful being as I am. Thank you for taking the time Kamila to be with us!

What are 3 things in the world that give you the most pleasure?

Deep conversations where masks dissolve. Movement and dance without agenda, when the body becomes pure expression. And the liminal moments between sleep and waking - when you unwind from the day and are very excited about the new day.

When did you decide to dedicate yourself to service and the work that you are currently doing?
It wasn’t one moment. It was a series of initiations. After walking through my own darkness and realizing I couldn’t unknow what I now embodied. Service became less of a choice and more of a responsibility.

What is something you learned about womanhood last year?
I learned that my care is sacred, and not everyone has earned access to it. Womanhood taught me to own my boundaries without guilt. To understand that discernment is not coldness — it is self-respect.

What is something you are wanting to nourish and nurture in 2026?
I am devoted to expanding my work to a global level. To deepen the roots of SOLUNA as a platform for women, and to create online spaces and retreats that bring healing, remembrance, and community beyond physical borders.

What does being a medicine woman mean to you?
Being a medicine woman means answering a call to tend to what cannot be seen. So much of our suffering begins in the psychological and energetic realms, long before it manifests physically. I see this path as becoming a bridge - between body and spirit, conscious and unconscious - holding space for healing, remembrance, and integration. It is not something I chose lightly. It is something I recognized as my path.

How does sexuality come through in what you wear and how you dress your body?
Sexuality, for me, is expressed through authenticity. I dress according to how I feel in my body, not to perform for the outside world. Sometimes it is softness, sometimes it is sharpness. It lives in the intention, in the way I carry myself, more than in the clothing itself.

What are some myths about the feminine that need to be broken!?That the feminine is only soft. The feminine is creation, but it is also destruction. It holds both life and death. True feminine power is not fragile — it is cyclical, instinctive, and immense..

What is something in our cultural approach to sexuality and sex that you feel is ready to change and shift?
The performance. The pressure. The disconnection from the body. Sex should feel devotional, not transactional.

What would you like to see more of in the world?
Women who are rooted in themselves. Men who are emotionally available. And communities that feel like sacred ground.

What is something you give to your nervous system daily?
Silence. Slow breathing. Touch. Even five minutes of intentional presence with my body changes everything.

How would you describe your own essence?
Warm. Magnetic. Observant. Soft on the outside, fire inside.

How do you style and dress this essence? Has your style changed? What has remained consistent?
I don’t confine myself to one fixed style. I move through archetypes, and I allow my external expression to reflect my internal state. That is part of feminine power — the ability to transform. What has remained constant is intention. I dress to feel embodied, to feel honest in my body, rather than to fit an expectation.

What is one of your favourite somatic practices?
Free-form movement with closed  eyes. Letting the body lead without choreography. The body always tells the truth.

If there is a message for us today from the feminine, what do you feel it is?
Slow down. Come back to your body. You don’t have to prove your power — you only have to remember it.
